Synopsis:
The History of White People in America is an animated musical that tells the mostly unknown racial history of the United States. When the Pilgrims first arrived, there was no notion of color or race as we understand those concepts today. They weren’t “white” because “white,” as a category of people, did not exist yet. The film reveals how skin became color, color became race, and race became power.
