During the month of March, 74 years ago, the last prisoners of Nazi concentration camps were liberated. As the number of the Holocaust survivors is decreasing, we are raising the issue of how important it is to have living witnesses of such atrocities in order to warn the future generations? And why does genocide reappear despite everything that we know?
In order to prevent that one of the biggest tragedies of the past century fades to oblivion, books like Ivo Goldstein’s Jasenovac make part of the important process of preserving the truth about the WWII atrocities. Jasenovac is a book that provides an opportunity to continually discuss the question of our relationship with the dark past, especially at a time of numerous revisionist attempts to neglect or diminish the severity of that crime.
On the occasion of the publication of Jasenovac, the round table discussion will be organised with the participation of professor Ivo Goldstein, PhD., Goran Hutinec, PhD., Nataša Mataušić and Lordan Zafranović. The discussion will be moderated by Seid Serdarević.
