The second Tolerance Talk will focus on new ideas and manifestations of fascism and racism in Croatia, Europe and the rest of the world. The Tolerance Talk panellists will discuss the two films from this year’s Festival.
All Against All by Dutch director Luuk Bouwman focuses on the issue whether fascism was a one-off historical appearance or it is something for all times, a mentality of sorts. The film addresses the issue based on pre-war fascism in The Netherlands, which had dozens of fascist movements between the two wars.
Incitement by Israeli director Yaron Zilberman is a film depicting the details of the 1995 events that led to the assassination of the Israeli prime minister Yitzhak Rabin (1922-1995), from the point of view of the assassinator.
The discussion about the damaging consequences of fascism and racism will include as panellists Nikica Gilić, PhD, film critic and professor at the Faculty of Humanities and Social Studies, and Nebojša Blanuša, PhD, professor at the Faculty of Political Sciences in Zagreb, hosted by Zrinka Vrabec Mojzeš, Nacional magazine journalist and commentator.
