Month of Sundays, founded in Vienna in the spring of 2013, has been following ever since the objective of creating contemporary chamber music. In their songs, they strive for a high level of details and put the focus on a well-considered coordination of musical content with its form, spanning the scope from minimal music, post rock and jazz.
In 2015 we released our self-titled debut album on Wire Globe Recordings to wide critical acclaim, followed by many invitations to renowned festivals, such as the Jazz Fest Wien, the Jazz and the City Festival Salzburg and the Jazznovember Bayreuth. Other achievements include Finalist of the BAWAG Next Generation Awards at the Vienna Porgy and Bess Jazz Club, as well as numerous concerts nationally and internationally. The highlights thus far are performances at the Austrian Kulturforum and the Rockwood Music Hall in New York City.
In 2016 began the composition and production phase of their second album Time and Ruins (working title). This project is due to be published in spring 2018.
