Synopsis:
Arne Itkin is a famous Jewish jazz musician who’s living in Copenhagen in 1943 along with his wife Miriam and their son Jacob.
There begins to be prevalent rumors that the Germans would deport the Danish Jews. Suddenly it is a reality and they need to flee from their homes to Gilleleje. The family manages to get on a train to Gilleleje along with many other Jewish refugees. But Gestapo stops them. Arne and Jacob get caught and they get separated from Miriam. In Gilleleje many fishermen are ready to transport Jews to Sweden. The local collaborators and Gestapo are soon on the trail, and they act quickly and mercilessly. It's about the survival of the small family and the many other Jews who hope the people of Gilleleje would help them.
