Synopsis:
17-year-old Elai is working with his older brother at the kibbutz’s fish ponds, guarding the catch. After a kid from the nearby Arab village offers him some protection from violent thieves, Elai tries to reciprocate the favour. However, when things don’t go to plan, fear strangles his good will and Elai finds himself telling a lie that will have truly dire consequences.
