Introducing special lectures by top experts and presenting European cinematography at last year's Festival through the presentation of Svetlana Agrest, Zagreb audience had an opportunity to learn about the 'New wave' of the Ukranian cinematography. Guided by the idea that education is the only answer to a better future and the development of a more tolerant society, we have decided to continue with this special programme so this year we are presenting another European country – Lithuania.
LINAS VILDŽIUNAS
"THE DIMENSION OF TIME IN LITHUANIAN CINEMA"
A film critic, president of the Lithuanian Chamber of Film Critics and chief editor of the renowned newspaper '7 meno dienos' and the magazine 'Kinas', Linas Vildžiūnas, will give a lecture about the Lithuanian film industry, especially focusing on the period of political and social changes from the 1960s to 1990s .
Three documentaries will be shown as part of the lecture – 'Autumn Snow' by Valdas Navasaitis, 'Country of the Blind' by Audrius Stonys and '10 Minutes before the Flight of Icarus' by Arūnas Matelis. The movie projections will be followed by a short discussion.
